HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll College Saints volleyball team defeated Lewis-Clark State three games to one on Friday in Helena, Montana.
Following a loss on Wednesday to Montana Tech, the Saints were slow out of the gate dropping the first game by a score of 25-22.
After that, the Saints put the pedal to the metal and won the next three games. Game two was close, but the Saints came out on top in a 25-23. After that, Carroll showed absolutely no mercy. The Saints came out on top in games three and four 25-19 and 25-14 respectively.
Ali Williams, a red-shirt freshman from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, lead the charge for the Saints down the stretch finishing the game with 13 kills, a team high. Senior
Morgan Christy had 11 kills and Freshman
Lexi Mikkelsen had 10.
Coach Moe Boyle credited some changes in her lineup as a big reason for the Saints' success after a tough loss on Wednesday night.
Following Friday's victory, the Saints improve to a record of 15-9 and a conference record of 3-3. Coach Boyle and the Saints continue their journey through conference play next Wednesday at the PE center when they take on the Bulldogs of Montana-Western,
