"Starke, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter, helped lead the Bengals into the playoffs where they lost in five sets at No. 3 Flathead. As a senior, she led Helena with 285 kills and 48 blocks. In her final home match, she tallied 25 kills, including five in the fifth set to help the Bengals to a win over Sentinel. For her efforts, Starke was chosen by the Western AA coaches to the All-Conference team. Though the Bengals didn’t reach the state tournament, the recognition gave Starke some well-deserved reassurance."
