HELENA, Mont. -- Carroll College's women's soccer team swept Multnomah University 3-0 at Nelson Stadium Friday afternoon.

"We got a clean sheet and a win, we are just going to have to be sharper in the games moving forward," said Dave Thorvilson, head coach.

Payton Netz from Great Falls scored the first goal of the game within in first five minutes.

The Saints maintained the 1-0 lead throughout the first half.

In the second half,
Katie Martin, a freshman from Clancy, Montana, scored with an assist from
Ashley Carlson, a freshman from Helena, in the 58
th minute.

The last goal of the game was made in the 88
th minute by junior
Makayla Welch from Boise, Idaho, who was assisted by junior
Taryn Neameyer from Bismark, North Dakota.

Overall, Carroll had 40 shots on goal and sophomore goalkeeper
Sydney Green from Orting, Washington had two saves.

The Saint's return to Nelson Stadium tomorrow, Sept. 29, to play Warner Pacific at 2 p.m.
