Carroll Women's Soccer Faces Must-Win Weekend

HELENA, Mont. – Carroll College women's soccer makes the arduous journey to Southwest Oregon for games against Oregon Tech on Friday and Southern Oregon Saturday in the final weekend of Cascade Conference action.
 
The Saints sit in ninth place, just outside of the top eight that is needed to make to conference tournament, but are still alive and with a pair of wins this weekend can punch their ticket to the post season.
 
The Saints picked up a pair of key wins last week at home against Evergreen and Northwest with two shutouts from goalkeeper Devan Murfitt. Twelve Saints have scored this season, but now player has more than three.
 
Carroll opens with Oregon Tech. The Owls have locked up their spot in the Cascade tournament. Cassidy Gosvener leads the team with seven goals on the year. Megan Green has one of the best goal against averages in the conference at .990.
 
The Saints then take on Southern Oregon in Ashland. The Raiders are 8-7 overall and 5-4 in Cascade play. Two SOU players have four goals on the year and goalkeeper Hannah Ceciliani had a goal against average of 1.580.
