HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll College men's basketball team travels to Dickinson, N.D. for two road games at the Milanovich Classic.
The Saints face NCAA DII Adams State(Colo.) Friday at 3 p.m. before playing tournament host Dickinson State Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Saints are 3-1 on the season and are coming off three NCAA DI exhibition games. Carroll failed to win one of the three but gave Pacific and Montana a run before eventually falling late.
Carroll currently leads the nation in field goal percentage at (58.6 percent) and
Zach Taylor leads the Saints with 20.8 points per game, followed closely by
Ryan Imhoff with 18.8 and
Oliver Carr with 15.5.
Adams is 0-3 on the season and lost back-to-back exhibition games against NCAA DI opponents by a large margin.
The Grizzlies have four players that average double-figures but senior Shakir Smith leads the way with 22 points per game.
Saturday the Saints f face the Blue Hawks who are 2-2 on the year. Four players average double-figures and the Saints need to be ready for Julian Vasquez who leads the team in points (15.8 ppg) and rebounds.
Dickinson also has the advantage of the home court.
