Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Saints Shine Bright in 92-70 Win Over (RV) Lights

HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll Men's Basketball team closed out the home portion of their 2025-26 regular season with a 92-70 win over (RV) MSU-Northern on Saturday night at the PE Center.

The Fighting Saints (18-7, 16-4) got their revenge on Saturday, earning a season split with the Lights following a loss last month in Havre.

Shots fell with regularity for both sides in the early stages of Saturday night's home finale. Over the first eight minutes of action, both teams exchanged mini-runs leading to a 17-17 deadlock. An 18-3 run for the Saints over the next six minutes, however, would change the trajectory of the game.

Isaac Round (Northampton, England / SO), Isaiah Crane (Portland, Ore. / R-SO), and Kellen Harrison (Bozeman, Mont. / SO) provided the spark in the extended run, combining for 13 points to put Carroll in front for good.

The Saints would lead by as many as 20 in the opening half, but would settle for a 17-point lead at the break, 50-33.

Eight different Saints scored in the first 20 minutes, led by Harrison's 12 points and Crane's 10.  Carroll shot 56 percent from the field, and were committed on the glass, outrebounding the Lights 20-14.

A Crane triple with 12 minutes remaining briefly gave the Saints a 21-point lead, their largest of the game to that point, but Northern quickly responded. The Lights went on a 10-0 run over the next three minutes, trimming the Carroll lead to just 11. Carroll buckled down over the final nine minutes of action, howver, playing solid defense while hitting shots when they needed to on the offensive end.

Seniors Lorence Dela Cruz (Winnipeg, Manitoba) and Aidan McGarvin (Eagle, Idaho) each made their final (regular season) shots on the PE Center floor, McGarvin at the stripe and Dela Cruz on a mid-range jumper, to help extend the Carroll lead back to 20 points.

Brenton Belzer (Helena, Mont. / FR) scored his first collegiate points, knocking down a deep three with 42 seconds left, and the Saints closed the door on the weekend sweep.

Crane led all players with a game-high 24 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Kellen Harrison had an impressive showing with 17 points and eight boards, while Drew Jones (Puyallup, Wash. / FR) rounded out the double figure scorers with 12 points, five rebounds, and four assists.

The Saints are now in sole possession of second place in the Frontier standings, and will look to close the year out strong with road wins at Valley City State and Mayville State next weekend.
