SPOKANE, Wash. — The Carroll Women's Soccer team played to a 1–1 draw at Whitworth on Saturday afternoon at the Whitworth Soccer Field.
The Fighting Saints (2–0–2) struck first in the 15th minute when Delaney Moczan (Las Vegas, Nev. / JR) found the back of the net on a pass from fellow captain Ella Keunzli (Bigfork, Mont. / SR). Moczan buried the right-footed shot into the left side of the goal for her third goal of the '25 season, giving Carroll an early 1–0 advantage.
Carroll generated steady pressure throughout the match, outshooting the Pirates 16–8 and earning six corner kicks to Whitworth's two. Kuenzli and Moczan led the attack, each with four shots and three on frame
Whitworth (0–1–3) equalized late. In the 88th minute, Rebekah Hines broke free in the box and finished a shot inside the left post to make it 1–1. Carroll nearly responded in the closing moments, with Kuenzli forcing a save in the 89th minute and Brynn Johnson sending a shot just over the crossbar seconds later.
The Saints' goalkeepers combined for four saves — Allison Olson (Lewiston, Idaho / SO) made two in the opening half before Maria Ackerman (Billings, Mont. / JR) added two more after the break. Carroll's back line also held firm for long stretches, limiting Whitworth to just five shots on goal.
Carroll will close out the weekend trip to Washington with an afternoon showdown with Whitman College tomorrow at 12 p.m.
