Men's Track and Field | 05/03/25 | 12:02 PM
Helena, Mont. – Saints Track & Field will compete Sunday and Monday at the Frontier Conference Championships at Vigilante Stadium in Helena, Mont.
Carroll has already put points on the board in the Decathlon, Heptathlon, and 3000m Steeplechase, which took place over the past several weeks. The Saints also competed in the Hammer Throw. Carson Krack and Brycen Gardner came away as Conference Champions in the Decathlon and Steeplechase respectively, and both are qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Championships in May. Tucker Monaco (Decathlon), Katelyn Christensen (Heptathlon), and Oliver Morris (3000m Steeplechase) were each All-Conference selections for their 2nd place finishes in their respective events.
In total the Saints will have 42 women and 35 men competing in the Championships, a larger group than last season. Montana Tech, Montana Western, University of Providence, Rocky Mountain College, and MSU-Northern are all expected to bring athletes to the meet. Last year the Saints men and women took second to Montana Tech.
Beyond the team focus, multiple individuals have achieved marks so far this season that are near the NAIA Qualifying Standards and will be aiming to improve at the conference meet. This includes Christensen (Javelin), Reuben Hornby (Javelin), and Hunter Gum (Shot Put).
The Fighting Saints currently have surpassed their largest number of Outdoor National Qualifiers in the past 6 years with the following: Krack and Monaco (Decathlon), Gardner (3000m Steeplechase), Weston Means (High Jump), Josh Smalley (Pole Vault), Zack Gacnik (10,000m), Men's 4x800m Relay (Peter Rehberger, Oliver Morris, Wyatt Ehredt, Jack Jensen), Madalen Shipman (800m), Claire Bucklin (400m Hurdles), and Brynn Wandle (Pole Vault).
