Helena, Mont. – Carroll College Track & Field heads to Great Falls for the Providence Open on Thursday.
Over 60 Saints athletes will compete in the meet spanning all event areas. There will be a focus on relays including the normal 4x100m and 4x400m as well as the 4x800m which is being contested for the first time this outdoor season. Carroll's squads will be up against competition from all Frontier Conference schools at the meet.
Zack Gacnik (10,000m) and Brycen Gardner (3000m Steeplechase) have qualified for the NAIA National Outdoor Championships in May and will both race in the 1500m and 800m races in Great Falls. Previous individual national qualifiers Weston Means (High Jump), Josh Smalley (Pole Vault), Madalen Shipman (600m), and Brynn Wandle (Pole Vault) will be chasing the standards again this week.
Field events will begin at 10:00 am Mountain Time at Memorial Stadium at Great Falls High School. Running events will begin at 10:30 am and continue on a rolling schedule. There will not be live results available.
