HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Softball team will take on their second-straight ranked opponent in as many weeks, as they prepare for a four-game series with No. 2 Oregon Tech on Thursday and Friday in Klamath Falls, Ore. Thursday's doubleheader will feature games at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. (MST), while Friday will start at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The Fighting Saints (15-17, 10-9) captured a conference series win over No. 13 Eastern Oregon, and will aim to make it two straight this weekend against the Owls (34-6, 17-4) as they make one final push towards the CCC postseason.

In Carroll's three series against teams currently ranked inside the NAIA Top-25, the Saints have come away with series victories in two of them (College of Idaho, Eastern Oregon).

Entering the week, the Saints sit just a couple of games short of clinching their third-consecutive CCC postseason berth. Carroll is currently fifth in the league standings with a 10-9 record in CCC play. Southern Oregon, Eastern Oregon, College of Idaho, and this weekend's opponent, Oregon Tech, have all punched their tickets to the league championship, and the Saints will look to join the fray this weekend.

The Owls enter the week on a nine-game win streak, including sweeps of Simpson and Warner Pacific, and are at-or near the top of nearly every major conference statistical category. The Owls have some of the best pitching in the league, entering the series with their rotation averaging a 2.12 ERA, while the bats have provided 263 runs scored on the year.

Making the weekend swing all the more difficult for the Saints is the Saturday afternoon make-up doubleheader with British Columbia in Spokane, Wash. on Saturday. The Saints and Thunderbirds are currently No. 5 and 6 in the CCC standings, battling for the higher seed headed into postseason play.

The Saints have scored six or more runs in all but one of their CCC victories this season, and will look to keep things rolling this weekend after their pair of wins over EOU last week in which they scored seven runs each game.

All four games against Oregon Tech will be streamed live HERE, and live stats can be followed along HERE.
