Zack Gacnik has been named Frontier Conference Track Athlete of the Week
Outdoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week: Zach Gacnik, Carroll
Gacnik, a junior from Conifer, Colo., was chosen as the Track Athlete-of-the-Week for the second consecutive week.
Gacnik, a two-time All-American already this year, was steady as ever at the Providence Open, winning both the 800- and 1500-meter titles for Carroll. Gacnik captured the 800-meter run title with a sub-two-minute time, registering a time of one minute, 57.36 seconds.
He was also the lone runner to finish sub-four minutes in the 1500-meter run for the Saints. He finished the race with a career-best time of 3:58.97.
