EUGENE, Ore. - The Carroll College Softball team will play their first road contests in over a month this weekend, as they take on Bushnell in a pair of doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday. 

The Fighting Saints (5-11, 2-4) will look to snap a six-game skid on Friday, following back-to-back series against Top-25 teams in College of Idaho and Southern Oregon. They'll matchup with the Beacons this weekend, who enter with an identical 5-11 mark, and are winless in CCC play.

Due to impending weather in the Eugene area, the start times for Friday afternoon's doubleheader have been bumped up. First pitch for game one will be thrown at 1:40 p.m., with the second game of the doubleheader slated to start at 3:40 p.m.

The Saints and Beacons have one common opponent to this point of the season, as each have played College of Idaho in the last two weekends. Carroll took two of the three conference matchups against the Yotes in the CCC opening series, while Bushnell fell in all four games of the series last weekend in Caldwell.

This weekend marks the first time since the 2022 season that the Saints have traveled to Eugene for a four game series. Carroll has been great in the all-time series against the Beacons, as they own a 25-7 record in the series overall, while five of the losses have come in Eugene.

The Saints averaged .300 or better in all four of their games against College of Idaho to start conference play, before going four-straight games batting sub-.230 against Southern Oregon last weekend. They'll look to get the bats rolling again, as they aim to stay in the mix near the top of the league standings in their pursuit of a third consecutive trip to the CCC Championship later this spring.
