Zack Gacnik has been named Track Athlete of the Week.
Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week: Zach Gacnik, Carroll
Gacnik, a junior from Conifer, Colo., was selected as the Track Athlete-of-the-Week.
Gacnik continued his strong year with NAIA B' provisional qualifying time in the 3000-meter run for the Saints. He clocked a time of 8 minutes, 40.97 seconds to finish seventh overall in the race at Bobcat Performance, setting a new Carroll school record (passing up Lyle Pocha's 2014 time by less than half of a second.
Gacnik's adjusted time for the NAIA national qualifying standard is 8 minutes, 22.43 seconds, which is currently seventh fastest time in the NAIA.
