KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 20225 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes for winter sports. 15 student-athletes from Carroll College were recognized for the top academic honor the NAIA annually awards.
To qualify as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year. This year, the list features an impressive number of student-athletes who have met these rigorous standards.
Carroll once again led the Frontier Conference with 15 selections between the Men and Women (Providence 13, Rocky 12, MSU-Northern 12, Montana Tech 9, Montana Western 8).
The Carroll Women's Basketball team posted their highest-ever semester GPA as a team in the Fall with a 3.80, with a program-record 12 achieving NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete honors.
