HELENA, Mont. – The Frontier Conference has announced the fifteenth edition of the 2024-25 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Women's Basketball weekly honors. Carroll College standout guard
Willa Albrecht swept both Offensive and Defensive Player-of-the-Week honors.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Willa Albrecht, Carroll
Albrecht, a redshirt-junior guard from Billings, Mont., was selected as both the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week.
Albrecht continued her strong play from the previous week, leading the No. 20-ranked Saints with 21.5 points per game in a pair of wins over MSU-Northern and Montana Western. The two-time running Frontier Offensive Player of the Week shot 52.6 percent from the field (10-of-19 field goals), including 60 percent from the 3-point line (6-of-10 3-pointers). She also hit 17-of-18 free throws for the week.
Albrecht scored 23 points on her 6-of-12 field goals, 2-of-4 3-pointers, and 9-of-10 free throws in CC's 58-53 victory over MSU-Northern. She also had two steals and two blocks in the game.
She followed up with 20 points (4-of-7 field goals, 4-of-6 3-pointers, and 8-of-8 free throws) in Carroll's 65-58 win at Montana Western. She posted a double-double with 10 rebounds (3 offensive, 7 defensive), while adding two blocks and a steal in the game.
Albrecht averaged 2.0 blocks, 1.5 steals, and 4.5 defensive rebounds per game last week for the Saints.
This is Albrecht's fifth and sixth career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week awards.
