DICKINSON, N.D. - There was no doubt about the Carroll Men winning their second Frontier Conference matchup of the season, as they rolled to an 85-57 win over Dickinson State on Friday evening at Scott Gymnasium.
The Fighting Saints had a letdown performance against then-ranked No. 1 College of Idaho, but have been nothing short of stellar since - including an 85-57 win over the Blue Hawks on Friday night.
Right from the opening tip, the Fighting Saints were in complete control of their second Frontier Conference game of the 2025-36 season.Â
After surrendering a pair of three-pointers. the Saints responded with a 13-3 run to build a lead that they would never surrender.
Carroll doubled-up the Blue Hawks in the first half of their first Frontier Conference meeting since the 2013-14 season, as
Drew Jones (Puyallup, Wash . / FR) scored eight points over the final 3:30 of the frame to give Carroll a 46-23 lead at the break.
The second half was more closely contested, but not by much. Carroll again outscored their new full-fledged Frontier foe 39-34 in the frame - rolling to a near 30-point victory.
Only two Blue Hawks posted double-digit scoring figures, while five different Saints scored 10 or more points in the lopsided win.
Reigning Frontier Freshman of the Year
Isaiah Crane (Portland, Ore. / R-SO) scored 16 points, matching a team-high from current freshman
Nate Christy (Spokane, Wash.).Â
Carroll once again shot 50 percent from the floor, with Jones adding 14 points and
Kellen Harrison (Bozeman, Mont. / SO) and
Lorence Dela Cruz (Winnipeg, Manitoba / SR) combining for 22.
The Saints enjoyed a hefty rebound advantage in the win, pulling down 47 boards to Dickinson State's 31.
Carroll will look to keep the momentum rolling tomorrow, as they take on a Bismarck State team that has yet to win a game as an NAIA member.
