BISMARCK, N.D. - The No. 24-ranked Carroll Women's Volleyball team kept to their winning ways on Friday evening, picking up a three set sweep (25-19, 25-14, 25-20) over first-year NAIA and Frontier Conference member Bismarck State at the BSC Armory.

The Fighting Saints (12-6, 7-3) are on a heater. Five wins in a row, the program's first ranking since 2022, and now a third sweep in their last four matches following a quick three set win over the Mystics (2-13, 0-10).

Carroll made no mistake of their intentions right from the start, opening up the match on a 10-2 run led by multiple kills from Elizabeth Heuiser (Helena, Mont. / R-SR) and Sidney Gulick (Kalispell, Mont. / SR). A late 4-0 run from Bismarck State would narrow the Carroll advantage towards the end of the frame, but Gulick's five kills helped lift the Saints to a 25-19 opening set win.

Gulick continued her strong performance into the second set, helping Carroll overcome a 12-11 deficit midway through the frame. The Saints took complete control in the back-half of the set, ending the frame on a 14-2 run while hitting a game-best .333 as a team to go up 2-0 in the match.

The third set was much of the same, as once again Carroll jumped out to a large lead at 14-6. The Saints would hold a 23-14 lead, with seemingly all of the momentum, before the Mystics responded with their best run of the evening. Bismarck State rattled-off a 6-0 response run, making things interesting, but the Saints would manage to hold off the late charge for a 25-20 set win and the sweep.

Gulick led all players with a game-high 13 kills on the evening, while Elizabeth Heuiser followed behind with 10. The pair also led the Saints in blocks, each posting two alongside McKaila Balcom (Pasco, Wash. / JR).

Carroll's two setters were equally as impressive, as Lauren Fox (Bozeman, Mont. / FR) led the team with a game-high 20 assists, and Jansyn Carrizales (Sunnyside, Wash. / JR) added 18 with eight digs as well.

Sofia Kimmel (Bozeman, Mont. / FR) led Carroll with 12 digs, and Molly O'Connor (Bozeman, Mont. / SR) added 10.

A quick turnaround is in order for the Saints, as they take on Dickinson State tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m.
