BILLINGS, Mont. - The Carroll College Women's Soccer team fell 5-0 to NCAA Division II opponent, MSU Billings, on Saturday afternoon.
The Fighting Saints (2-1-2) will not have fond memories of their afternoon tilt with the Yellowjackets, as they dropped their first game of the season, 5-0.
Not much went right for the Saints in their second game of the Rimrock Classic.
Kendall McGraw scored her second of the year, and only goal of the opening half for the "Jackets in the 24th minute, and MSU-B would carry a 1-0 lead into the break.
From there the flood gates would open.
MSU Billings grabbed two goals in the first five minutes of the second half, from Jackie Sharp and Liberty Palmer to quickly move to mark to 3-0.
McGraw scored the second goal of her brace in the 69th minute, and Erika Wilson put the proverbial nail in the coffin with a 78th minute goal to give the 'Jackets a 5-0 lead they would not relinquish.
The 'Jackets out-shot Carroll 24-3 in the match, and the Saints didn't record a single shot in the second half.
A lengthy break awaits the Saints before their CCC opener on September 20 against Rocky.
