BILLINGS, Mont. - The Carroll College Women's Soccer team played NCAA Division II opponent Black Hills State (S.D.) to a 0-0 draw this evening in a neutral site games as part of the Rimrock Classic in Billings.
The Fighting Saints (2-0-2) and Yellowjackets simply couldn't decide a winner in Thursday night's showdown in the Magic City.
A full 90 minutes was not enough time for either side to break through, and the teams would each have to settle for the nil-nil tie.
Carroll was the more aggressive team, out-shooting the Yellowjackets 9-4 in the match, but neither keeper would face much action as the teams each only put two shots on goal.
Black Hills State went deep into their bench, substituting 11 different players during the match, while the Saints only entered three new players into the match.
The Saints will play one more in Billings before returning home, a 3 p.m. matchup with host-school MSU Billings on Saturday.
