PORTLAND, Ore. - The Carroll College Women's Soccer team came out victorious on Saturday in Portland, picking up a big CCC win against Warner Pacific, 2-0.
Delaney Moczan (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho / SO) found the back of the net early into the contest with a goal in just the 5th minute off of an assist from Ella Kuenzli (Colorado Springs, Colo. / JR).
Maria Ackerman (Billings, Mont. / SO) pitched a third straight shutout for the Fighting Saints, totaling four saves in net.
An over 80 minute scoreless period was finally broken in the 88th minute when Delaney Moczan (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho / SO) scored her second goal of the afternoon, shutting the door on any potential comeback for the Knights.
Carroll and Warner Pacific were tied with eight shots a piece on the game.
The Saints are still without a conference loss on the season, as the women improved to 5-3-1 overal, and 2-0-1 in conference play.
Carroll will return to the pitch Friday, October 4 against Corban University at Nelson Stadium.
