PORTLAND, Ore. - The Carroll College Men's Soccer team extended their CCC winning-streak on Friday, beating Multnomah 2-0 in Portland, Ore.
The Fighting Saints (4-1-2, 3-0) picked up their first conference road win of the year, grabbing a 2-0 shutout win over the Lions (2-5, 0-3).
Carroll was aggressive in the first half, out-shooting Multnomah 7-2, but their efforts would not result in a goal. The Saints were forced to head into the halftime break tied at 0-0.
Just three minutes into the second frame, the Saints found the goal they were looking for.
Michal Mojzis (Bratislava, Slovakia / SR) scored hsi first goal of the season off of an assist from
Alfie Snow (Middlesbrough, England. / FR) to give Carroll a 1-0 lead.
Reigning CCC and NAIA Offensive Player of the Week
Felix Billard (Mallorco, Spain / SO) added an insurance goal in the 76th minute to give the Saints a 2-0 lead they would not surrender.
Billard's goal was his sixth in three games.
The shutout win makes it three straight to open conference play for the Saints. In the three games, Carroll is outscoring their opponents 12-0.
Tomorrow afternoon will be the first big test for the Saints, as they take on (RV) Warner Pacific at 3:30 p.m.
