HELENA, Mont. - Frontier Conference commissioner Scott Crawford has announced the result of the annual Frontier Conference Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Carroll College Volleyball team was tabbed fifth by the league's coaches.
Following a disappointing, injury-riddled 2023 season, the Fighting Saints will look to regain their spot among the top of the Frontier Conference spikers.
The 2023 season saw many underclassmen forced into action due to a large number of season-altering injuries. The young group battled, but finished winless in conference play.
2023 is long gone, and a fully healthy Carroll program looks primed to rebound in 2024. Liz Heuiser (Helena, Mont. / R-JR) will look to replicate the success of her All-American 2022 season after using a medical redshirt last year. Setter
Hannah Schweikert (Columbia Falls, Mont. / R-JR) saw her '23 campaign cut short in just the third game of the season, and will look to bounce back in a big way. Carroll also retains one of the nation's absolute best defenders, DS
Julia Carr (Portland, Ore. / GR), who led the NAIA in digs per set (6.84).
Fall camp is officially underway for the Saints, with the team having reported to campus at the start of the month and the team will begin their season at the annual Big Sky Challenge in Butte, Mont. on August 16 when they square off with Doane (Neb.).Â
