HELENA, Mont. - The inaugural "Be a Light" Softball Tournament, hosted by Carroll College Softball, honored the beautiful legacy of Delaney Doherty by celebrating her love for softball and her spirit of kindness, joy, and compassion.
This tournament united teams from all around for solid competition and to be able to play for something bigger than softball.Â

Â
Delaney's legacy was beyond evident at this event, making it a beacon of hope and a testament to the enduring impact of kindness and unity. Delaney was the true definition of  what it meant to be a light and we were thankful to honor both her and her beautiful family. We look forward to hosting this event again next year and are super thankful that Mark and Chantel allowed us to celebrate their exceptional daughter.Â
"Thank you to everybody who made this possible and helped out, we are so thankful!" said Head Coach Shawna Juarez. "A huge shout-out to the teams, fans, coaches, umpires, and our Carroll Softball student-athletes for helping out!"
