Marion, Ind. – The Saints wrapped up a great meet at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Indiana Wesleyan University on Wednesday May 22 through Friday May 24.

In Friday's action, Josh Smalley competed in the Pole Vault. He cleared his earliest height before running into trouble with a difficult tailwind as the bar moved up.

Overall the Saints scored two All-Americans (Tucker Monaco - Decathlon, Weston Means - High Jump) as well as an additional Top 10 finish with Zack Gacnik in 9th in the 10,000m race. There were several personal records at the meet including Monaco's Javelin within the Decathlon, Gacnik's 10,000m (improving his school record), and every member of the Men's 4x800m Relay (Kaiden Romney, Wyatt Ehredt, Marco Gonzalez-Sosa, Peter Rehberger).

Many Carroll athletes at the meet rounded out a strong season where throughout they moved into or up within the team's All-Time lists. Monaco moved into 3rd in the Decathlon as well as 6th in the 400m Hurdles. Smalley jumped to 2nd in the Pole Vault and Means to a tie for 2nd in the High Jump. Means also moved to 7th in the Triple Jump.

Reuben Hornby moved up to 3rd in the Javelin, while Sorren Reese moved into 2nd on the women's side. Additionally Reese jumped to 4th in the Heptathlon and 9th in the 400m Hurdles. Chloe Gallagher wrapped up her career with a 5th trip to Nationals and a shift up to 4th All-Time at Carroll. The 4x800m Relay moved up to 3rd at Carroll with their Nationals time, while Rehberger individually made the lists during the season at 7th in the 1500m. Brycen Gardner improved his school record time in the 3,000m Steeplechase early in the season, and he also moved into 6th in the 1500.

"It was an awesome meet for our athletes and really a great way to end an awesome season overall," said Head Coach Harry Clark. "It's always fun to get some All-Americans, but the whole group competed hard and that was exciting to watch and encouraging for the future," he added.
