HELENA, Mont. - The Frontier Conference has announced the winners of its weekly individual awards. Carroll's Maddie Gertiz has been named the Erck Hotels Frontier Conference Player of the Week for the first time this season.
Maddie Geritz is a six-foot, two-inch graduate forward from Boise, Idaho.
Geritz was the x-factor for the Saints in a pair of wins over Montana Tech in Butte, and Rocky Mountain College at the PE Center in Helena.
She led the team in scoring each game, finishing the week with 18.5 points per game, while also pulling down 6.5 rebounds per contest. Her 51.7 field goal percentage led the Saints, and she added 1.5 assists per game to help Carroll continue to hold the top position in the Frontier Conference standings.
This is the first time this season that Geritz has won the award, and the first time since January 23, 2023 that she has grabbed the honor.
Geritz and the Saints are deep in preparation for a crucial late-season road game at MSU-Northern on Thursday in Havre, before starting the third and final lap through conference play with Montana Western coming to Helena on Saturday.
