Helena, Mont. – A small group of Saints Track athletes will attend the Riverfront Invitational in Spokane, WA on Friday February 2.

The meet takes place at The Podium, a world class indoor facility, and it will include several events that are not often contested throughout the indoor season - the 5000m and the Distance Medley Relay (DMR).

Four women will run the 5000m: Erika Arthur, Hannah Sempf, Anna Terry, and Jenna Castro. Connor O'Hara, Zach Rector, and Daniel Koralewski will run the 5000m for the men. Additionally, the men will compete in the DMR with Brycen Gardner taking the leadoff 1200m leg, Kaiden Romney following up with a 400m, Wyatt Ehredt running third at 800m, and Zack Gacnik running anchor for the 1600m leg. 

"The competition was great in Spokane last year, and the new facility lends itself to an exciting atmosphere," said distance coach Shannon Flynn. "While we will be chasing some national qualifying standards, we're mostly focused on getting to enjoy racing and on trying to learn from our experience," she added. 

The Saints' first event will be at 5:40 pm Pacific on Friday.
