HELENA, Mont. – Carroll collected a pair of honors on the first edition of the 2024-25 Erck Hotels/Frontier Men's Basketball Players-of-the-Week. This season, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has implemented a new weekly basketball awards system, awarding both Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.
Offensive Player of the Week: Isaiah Crane, Carroll
Crane, a freshman guard from Portland, Ore., was chosen as the Offense Player of the Week.
Crane made an instant impact in his first career start, leading the Saints to a pair of home victories. He averaged 22.5 points per game on his 51.9 percent field goal shooting.
The shifty point guard added nine total assists, including seven assists in the win over No. 16 ranked Oregon Tech. Crane went 14-of-15 at the free-throw line, helping CC's earn first ranked win since 2022-23.
This is Crane's first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
Defensive Player of the Week: Derek Kramer, Carroll
Kramer, a junior forward from Bellevue, Wash., was selected as the Defense Player of the Week.
Kramer pulled down 12 defensive rebounds, including nine defensive rebounds in Carroll's 83-75 victory over No. 16 ranked Oregon Tech. He also added two steals and a pair of blocks on the week as the Saints opened their season with a 2-0 record.
Kramer also had a double-double in CC's victory over OIT (16 points and pulled down 11 rebounds).
This is Kramer's first career Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
The Carroll Men will return to action at home this weekend, hosting both Eastern Oregon and Southern Oregon as part of the Delta Marriott Classic at the PE Center on Friday and Saturday.
