HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Men's Soccer team will square off with Oregon Tech this evening at 5 p.m. in CCC Championship Semifinal action in Medford, Ore.
The top-seeded Fighting Saints (13-2-3) are looking to continue their dominant 2024 run, and will have a spot in the CCC Championship Game on the line in tonight's matchup with the seventh-seeded Owls (9-7-3).
Oregon Tech is the surprise entrant in tonight's semifinal. The Owls knocked-off the two-seed Southern Oregon in a 2-1 overtime battle on Sunday evening to secure their spot in the semifinal.
Carroll enters the game off an impressive 4-0 shutout over Multnomah in the opening round, where CCC Offensive Player of the Year
Felix Billard (Mallorca, Spain / SO) notched a hat-trick and CCC Goalkeeper of the Year Juan Muniz Navarrete (Hermiston, Ore. / SR) posted a two-save clean sheet.
The Saints won the lone meeting between the two teams last month in Klamath Falls, a 2-0 win that helped secure an NAIA National Offensive Player of the Week honor for
Caleb Hoxie (Helena, Mont. / GR) (1 goal, 1 assist).
Carroll will surely have last year's quarterfinal loss to the Owls on their mind this evening, as Oregon Tech cut short the Carroll season with a 3-1 overtime win, similar to this season's upset over SOU.
