HELENA, Mont. — The Carroll College Women's Soccer team secured a 2-0 victory over Bushnell University in a Cascade Collegiate Conference match on Saturday night at Nelson Stadium.
Carroll's Delaney Moczan opened the scoring in the 11th minute, converting a chance to give the Saints a 1-0 lead. The early goal set the tone, as Carroll dominated possession and outshot Bushnell 23-4 throughout the match.
Despite Bushnell goalkeeper Lexi Bates making 11 saves, Carroll sealed the win in the 77th minute when Avery Lambourne found the back of the net off an assist from Courtnie Gagnon to make it 2-0.
Bushnell, now 3-8-0 overall and 1-4-0 in conference play, managed only one shot on goal, which was saved by Carroll goalkeeper Maria Ackerman, who recorded the shutout.
Carroll improved to 7-1-3 overall and 4-0-1 in conference, continuing their unbeaten run in league play.
The Saints dominated on corner kicks, with a 7-0 advantage, and committed only seven fouls compared to Bushnell's ten.
