HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Volleyball team will host No. 17 Montana Western this evening at 7 p.m. in the PE Center with both teams jostling for position in the Frontier Conference standings.

The Fighting Saints (15-8, 3-6) already own one victory over the Bulldogs (16-6, 6-3) at the PE Center this season, and will look for a repeat performance tonight in Helena.

With just six games remaining in the Frontier Conference schedule, the Saints find themselves with some work to do if they want a top seed in the upcoming Frontier Conference tournament. Carroll and Rocky both sit No. 4 in the league with a 3-6 record. Western and Montana Tech are both 6-3 in conference play, while Providence leads the league at 7-2 nearing the final lap.

Carroll remains in the receiving votes category of the NAIA Coaches' Poll, speaking to the strength of the league as a whole. Even with the upside-down conference mark, the Saints remain in the conversation for a potential at-large bid to the NAIA Volleyball Championship later next month. 

Julia Carr (Portland, Ore. / GR) enters the week as the Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the ninth time in her outstanding four-year career. Carr, who led the nation in digs per set a year ago, is backing up her performance this season. She is the only player in the nation averaging over 7 digs per set (7.02), and currently sits No. 2 in the country in total digs (625).

Fans are encouraged to wear pink this evening, joining the Fighting Saints in supporting Breast Cancer Awareness night, and helping them remember those who we have lost, or those who are currently battling.
