KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Carroll Men's Soccer team capped another successful weekend with a 2-0 shutout victory over Oregon Tech on Saturday afternoon.

The Fighting Saints (9-2-3, 8-1-1) continued their hot play in the 2024 CCC regular season, picking up yet another shutout victory, this time at the hands of the Owls (7-6-2, 4-4-2).

Coming off of one of the biggest wins in program history, there was no let down from the Fighting Saints on Saturday.

Luke Rosenberger (Eau Claire, Wisc. / SR) opened the scoring for the Saints in the 27th minute. The speedster scored his third goal of the season off of an assist from 2023 All-CCC performer Caleb Hoxie (Helena, Mont. / GR) to give Carroll a 1-0 lead.

No other goals were scored in the opening frame, and the Saints would carry their lead into the break.

The Helena-native Hoxie, returning to action after being sidelined with an injury for much of the year, provided the dagger for the Saints early in the second half.

Hoxie scored his second goal in as many games in the 52nd minute, giving the Saints a much-needed insurance goal that they would not surrender.

Oregon Tech out-shot the Saints in the match, but the Owls struggled to put the ball on net as Juan Muniz Navarette (Heermiston, Ore. / JR) needed just one save to scure another clean sheet.

With just three games left in the CCC regular season, Carroll finds themselves in rarefied air, controlling their destiny in terms of the No. 1 seed for the upcoming CCC Championships.

Northwest (Wash.) will visit Nelson Stadium next Friday, beginning a three-game home-stand to end the year for the Saints.
