ASHLAND, Ore. - The Carroll College Women's Soccer team played Southern Oregon to a 2-2 draw on Friday afternoon at Raider Stadium in Ashland.

The Fighting Saints (7-3-4, 4-2-2), grabbed a two goal lead, but saw it slip away in the waning moments to the Raiders (6-5-1, 3-4-1), as they were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw.

A tightly-contested first half saw each team have their opportunities, but neither team would find a goal in the first 45 minutes. Carroll put up six shots to Southern Oregon's four, three of which were on goal, but the game would enter the half scoreless.

Just five minutes removed from the break, Emily Funseth (Great Falls, Mont. / GR) scored her fourth goal of the season. One of Carroll's top-10 all-time scorers put the Saints on top following a great assist from Jaymee Sheridan (Helena, Mont. / SR).

In the 60th minute, Delaney Moczan (Las Vegas, Nev. / SO) extended her conference-leading goal total to double the Saints' advantage. Moczan's 12th goal of the season off of an assist from Ella Kuenzli (Colorado Springs, Colo. / JR) to give the Saints a 2-0 lead.

The Raiders halved the Carroll lead in the 66th minute, as Brooklyn Hayes scored her third goal of the season with an assist from Abby Fitzpatrick.

Moczan was given a red card for an aggressive tackle in the 85th minute, leaving the Saints down a player for the final five minutes of the match.

Southern Oregon seized the opportunity against the shorthanded Saints, with Hayes scoring her second goal of her brace on a corner kick from Cora Thorndike in the 88th minute to even the game at 2-2.

Carroll will look to rebound tomorrow as they head over the pass to square off with Oregon Tech at 1 p.m.
