HELENA, Mont. – The Frontier Conference announced the results of its 2024-25 Frontier Women's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll on Wednesday. The six Frontier head coaches voted on the projected order of finish and the preseason awards. Carroll College was picked to finish No. 2 in league play.
The Fighting Saints (28-6, 14-1) enter the 2024-25 season on the heels of the best finish in the 50-year history of the program. The '23-24 Frontier Champions advanced to the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship Semifinal, and this season's team is hungry for a repeat.
Carroll and Rocky Mountain were tied for second in the preseason poll with 19 points each. The Saints picked up one first place vote in the poll.
The Saints lost the 2023-24 NAIA Player of the Year,
Jamie Pickens, but retain plenty of experience and skill with a seasoned group of upperclassmen who will look to carry the load this year.
A pair of Carroll guards,
Kyndall Keller (Havre, Mont. / SR) and
Willa Albrecht (Billings, Mont. - R-JR), appear on the Preseason All-Conference team. Keller, Albrecht, and
Addi Ekstrom (Bozeman, Mont. / SR) will be relyed upon heavily in the Saints' pursuit of their third-consecutive Frontier Conference title.
The Saints are hard at work in the PE Center building towards their season-opener on October 31, as they host Arizona Christian for the first of two scheduled meetings between the teams this season.
