HELENA, Mont. - The Frontier Conference has announced the winners of its weekly individual awards for the week of January 1 through January 7. Jamie Pickens has been named Erck Hotels Frontier Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Pickens is a six-foot, two-inch forward from Helena.

No stranger to the award, Pickens compiled another highly-impressive week, leading the No. 5-ranked Fighting Saints to a pair of victories to begin the new year.

On New Year's Day, Pickens dominated the Buffaloes of Milligan, scoring a game-high 25 points on 70 percent shooting from the floor.

She backed up that performance with a 19 point, 15 rebound double-double to help lift the Saints over the No. 16-ranked Providence Argos in the Frontier Conference opener on Saturday in Great Falls.

For the week, Pickens averaged 22 points and 12 rebounds per game, as well as 50 percent from the field in her pair of games.

The 2022-23 First Team All-American and Preseason Frontier Conference Player of the Year has now won the weekly award three times in the 2023-24 season.

Pickens and the Saints will continue their trek towards another Frontier title this week, hosting Montana Western and Montana Tech on Thursday and Saturday at the Carroll College PE Center.
