BILLINGS, Mont. - The Carroll College Men's Soccer team fell on the road to NCAA Division II opponent, MSU Billings tonight, 1-0.
The Fighting Saints (0-1-1) could not find a way to score this evening in Billings, losing a hard-fought 1-0 game to MSU-Billings (1-0-0).
Things were very even throughout a physical first half between the Saints and the Yellowjackets. Carroll put up six shots in the first half to MSU Billings' seven.
The one additional shot for the Yellowjackets would prove to be the killer, as Callum Bryan was able to beat Carroll goalkeeper Juan Muniz Navarette (Hermiston, Ore. / SO) on a penalty kick in the 41st minute of the first half.
Muniz Navarette finished his day with three saves in the losing effort.
The Saints will shift focus towards preparations for their CCC opener on Sept. 15, as they head to Washington for a matchup with Walla Walla.
