KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the member institutions who have achieved Champions of Character Five Star designations. Carroll College has been named an NAIA Champions of Character Gold Five-Star Award Winner for the 2022-23 academic year.
 
Carroll was named a Gold Five-Star Institution, the highest possible score attainable, joining only 37 other schools in the nation to receive this honor.
 
Carroll College, as was the case last year as well, is the only school in the Frontier Conference to be named a Gold Five-Star Institution.
 
In total, 171 Institutions were named Champions of Character Five-Star Award Winners broken into three scoring groups, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
  
Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year.
