HELENA, Mont. - Spring semester grades at Carroll College have been made official, and it was a banner year for the Fighting Saints in the classroom. All 400-plus Carroll student-athletes helped establish a new school record, combining for an incredible department-wide 3.53 GPA.

Academic excellence is a cornerstone of Carroll College Athletics. Year after year, Saints representing 17 varsity sports and four junior varsity teams continue to up the ante, and 2026 is no different. For the third time in the last five semesters, Carroll student-athletes posted a department-wide GPA of at least 3.50. The spring term 3.53 GPA is the highest recorded mark in Carroll College history.

Some of the best and brightest in all of college athletics, Carroll student-athletes are continually among the top academic performers in the NAIA, and their continued academic successes while competing in their respective sports are nothing short of remarkable. Dating back to 2014, Carroll student-athletes have posted a department-wide 3.20 or better GPA in every single semester.

This year, all 17 Varsity sports at Carroll posted a team-wide term GPA greater than 3.25 in the spring semester. The Carroll Volleyball team earned top marks, finishing with a 3.81 team GPA, followed by Women's Basketball and Women's Cross Country, each with 3.73 team GPA's.

In total, 14 programs finished the term with team-wide GPA's over a 3.50, while 86 percent of all Carroll student-athletes finished the spring semester with a GPA of 3.0 or greater. Even more impressively, 69 Fighting Saints finished the semester with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

All said and done, 249 total Fighting Saints were named Academic All-Conference (3.25 or better GPA) selections over the course of the 2025-26 academic year - representing 60 percent of all student-athletes. A record 159 of those student-athletes were named NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes (sophomores and above maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better), meaning a jaw-dropping 56 percent of eligible student-athletes earned the NAIA's top academic honor.
