CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference recognized eight institutions with Presidents' Cup Academic Excellence status for the 2025-26 academic year, the conference office announced. The Carroll College Soccer teams had another highly impressive season, earning the institution top marks for both overall GPA and Academic All-Conference percentage.
To receive the designation, a department must achieve an overall combined GPA of 3.0 or better among its student athletes (men/women) that compete in sports that the CCC declares a champion in and have 60% or higher of student-athletes who are eligible to receive Academic All-Conference (sophomore standing/3.2 GPA) recognition do so.
Carroll College is an affiliate member of the CCC, with both the Men's and Women's Soccer teams as the lone representatives, while the rest of the school's 17 varsity sports compete in the Frontier Conference.
"Earning the President's Academic Excellence designation represents the highest academic honor our departments can earn from the Cascade Conference," stated CCC Commissioner Robert Cashell. "It is a great accomplishment and recognizes the outstanding efforts in the classroom."
Carroll's Soccer teams had their best combined academic year on record in 2025-26, with 36 players recognized as Academic All-Conference selections last Fall. Both teams strongly contributed to the Athletic Department's record-high 3.53 GPA this semester, with the Men boasting a 3.58 team-wide spring GPA and the Women posting a 3.62 GPA.
