CORVALLIS, Ore. - The 2023 Cascade Collegiate Conference Softball postseason awards were announced Thursday by the conference office. Carroll College had three players recognized for their efforts and achievements on the field in the 2023 season.
The Fighting Saints had three players recieve postseason honors,
Kaitlynn Ayers,
Jessica Nimmo, and
Alyssa Lybbert.
Kaitlynn Ayers (Twin Falls, Idaho / SR / 1B) was named First Team All-CCC.
Ayers led the Fighting Saints offensively in the regular season. The senior hit for a .424 batting average, including six home runs, and 27 RBI. Ayers anchored an infield that was one of the tops in the CCC, finishing fourth in fielding percentage (.965)
Jessica Nimmo (Las Vegas, Nev. / SR / CF) was named Second Team All-CCC.
Nimmo was another threat at the plate for the Saints. She hit .382 on the season with five home runs and 26 RBI.Â
Alyssa Lybbert (Las Vegas, Nev. / SO / 3B) was named as an Honorable Mention All-CCC Selection.
Lybbert hit for the same average as Nimmo (.382) with one homer and 19 RBI. She also stoel five bases on the year.
