HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Softball team will play all three of their scheduled Cascade Collegiate Conference series games at the University of British Columbia on Friday afternoon.
Lets play three.Â
That was the decision that was made for this weekend's series in Vancouver, with Friday seemingly being the best weather day forecasted. The Fighting Saints (14-22, 10-13) and Thunderbirds (21-13, 14-9) will try to squeeze in all three CCC games on Friday, and avoid the rain this weekend.
With the season winding down, the battle for playoff positioning is heating up. This weekend's series will be critical for both teams as they look to secure their spot in the CCC postseason tournament.
Carroll enters the weekend sitting at No. 6 in the CCC standings, needing three wins over their final seven games to secure their spot in the postseason tournament.
British Columbia enters the weekend in a deadlock with No. 25 Eastern Oregon for the No. 4 seed in the upcoming tournament.
Last weekend was a tough one for the Saints, losing four games to the nation's No. 5 team, Southern Oregon. Carroll will look to reset, rebound, and finish the season strong starting with this weekend's series in Vancouver.
This afternoon's three game schedule is tentatively planned for first pitches at 12 p.m., (MDT), 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.
