HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Softball team is back on the diamond for a four game series with No. 5 Southern Oregon this weekend in Helena.

The Fighting Saints (14-18, 10-10) continue to fight for a spot in the Cascade Collegiate Conference postseason, and will have their hands full this weekend when No. 5 Southern Oregon (27-7, 15-4) come to the Capital city.

As has been the case all year, mother nature has not cooperated with the Saints' schedule, due to snowfall and moisture accumulation in the Helena area yesterday, Carroll will be forced to play this afternoon's games at an alternate location yet again. Friday's doubleheader will be played at Northwest Park, home field of Capital High School. After one day of additional field prep time, Saturday morning's doubleheader will return to Centennial Park as originally scheduled.

After splitting a pair of games with Providence on Monday, Carroll remains at .500 in CCC play, and are currently sitting at No. 6 in the CCC standings. Northwest (9-12) is right behind them in the standings, and the Saints will look to add to their conference win total and create a bit of separation this weekend.

Standing in their way is the No. 5 team in the nation. Southern Oregon enters the weekend having won seven of their last eight games, and are on the cusp of clinching their CCC postseason berth. The Raiders are currently second in the CCC, behind only No. 1 Oregon Tech.

Live stats for this afternoon's games can be found HERE for game one, and HERE for game two. Due to the alternate location, Friday's doubleheader will not be streamed. Saturday's game will be streamed live on the Fighting Saints Network - presented by Point S Tire & Auto.
