Helena, Mont. – Carroll College Track & Field hosts one of two home meets of the season, the Carroll Duals, this Friday March 31 at Vigilante Stadium in Helena.
The Saints have entered their largest roster of the year with 25 men and 45 women. Montana Tech, Montana Western, University of Providence, and Westminster are expected to bring athletes to the meet. Despite weather conditions throughout the week, Friday is predicted to bring higher temperatures and lower precipitation.
Some Saints will compete in events for the first time this season, and many will take on their largest workload of the year so far. This will be one of only a few meets with a 4 x 800m Relay, an area of strength for the Saints where they will enter both a men's and women's team. Carroll will also run 4 x 100m and 4 x 400m Relays.
"It's always exciting to compete at home," said Head Coach Harry Clark. "We're beginning to have more and more athletes in action, so it's good to start to see where we stack up and how we need to improve over the next few weeks," he added.
On Friday, both field events and running events will begin at 9:30 am.
