SALEM, Ore. - The Carroll College Softball team won a pair of games on Friday, topping Corban 5-2, and 11-1 on Friday afternoon in Salem, Ore.
The Fighting Saints (11-15, 7-7) managed to even up their Cascade Collegiate Conference record on Friday, taking a pair of games over Corban (7-20, 5-11).
It was Corban who took the lead early in game one.
The Warriors put up a pair of runs in the bottom on the first inning to take a 2-0 lead after one.
In the third inning
Alyssa Lybbert (Las Vegas, Nev. / SO) singled, scoring two runs to even things up at 2-2.
Haylee Curry (Belgrade, Mont. / SR) broke the tie for the Saints in the fifth inning, doubling into left field to put Carroll on top 3-0.
Kaitlynn Ayers (Twin Falls, Idaho / JR) provided the dagger in the seventh inning. Ayers blasted a two-run homer to give Carroll the 5-2 win in game one.
Abby Hanley (Las Vegas, Nev. / SR) struck out 10 batters on her way to a complete game win for the Saints.
The Saints jumped all over the Warriors in game two.

Kirsten Norris (Phoenix, Ariz. / SR)) and
Kati Slater (Yamhill, Ore. / FR) all picked up RBI's in the top of the first inning, launching Carroll out to a 5-0 lead after one.
Carroll added one more run in the third inning on an error, and then
Annie Davidson (Boise, Idaho / SR) knocked in two on an RBI single in the fourth inning to go up 8-0.Â
Ayers picked up a sac fly RBi in the fifth, and then
Amber Countryman (Helena, Mont. / SO) picked up two RBI's on a single down the line to put Carroll on top 11-0.
The Warriors picked up one run in the bottom of the inning, but Carroll would march on to the 11-1 run-rule win in five innings.
The Saints and Warriors will play another doubleheader in the morning, with first pitches scheduled for 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.Â
