SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The No. 2-seed Carroll College Women's Basketball team is in Sioux City, Iowa beginning final preparations for a round of 16 matchup in the 2023 NAIA Women's Basketball Championship tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. MST against No. 6-seeded Dakota State.
The Fighting Saints (27-5, 14-1) advanced to Sioux City after emerging victorious in their first and second round pod, held in Helena last week. Carroll defeated No. 15-seed Rochester (Mich.) and No. 7-seed Jamestown to advance to the round of 16.Â
Dakota State (27-6, 13-1) is the lowest remaining seed in the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship (No. 6). The Trojans, North Star Conference Champions, advanced to the round of 16 after knocking off No. 11-seed Morningside (Iowa) and No. 3-seed Eastern Oregon last week in Wichita, Kan.
Tip-off for tomorrow's game is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. MST.
