MINOT, N.D. - The Carroll College Softball team fell to host school Minot State on Sunday to complete their weekend of play at the second Bubble Invite in Minot, N.D.

The Fighting Saints (3-4) were unable to keep pace with NCAA Division II opponent Minot State on Sunday afternoon.

The game started out in favor of the Saints when in the top of the first Annie Davidson (Boise, Idaho / SR) knocked in a pair of runs to give Carroll a quick 2-0 lead.

Unfortunately for the Saints, the rest of the game would be all Minot State.

The Beavers scored three in the bottom of the first inning to erase the Carroll advantage. 

Minot State then used a five-run third inning and a six-run fourth inning to power past the Saints.

For the second straight game, Carroll was unable to get their bats going. The Saints finished the game with just six hits in 24 appearances from the plate as a team, never quite able to string together baserunners.

Carroll will shift focus towards their Cascade Collegiate Conference opening series this weekend, as they take on the College of Idaho in a four game series to kick off their conference slate.
