Bozeman, Mont. – Saints Track & Field closed the indoor season strong at the Big Sky Tuner.
Two additional national qualifiers highlighted the day.
Paige Baxstresser won the 400m and ran a personal record in the event to hit the NAIA A Standard.
Van Gottwals achieved the A Standard in the 800m with his fastest time of the season.
Despite the stiff competition, Carroll had multiple other Top 3 finishers besides Baxstresser.
Brett Glaser placed 2
nd in the 60m Hurdles with a personal record,
Tate Kauffman placed 2
nd in the Triple Jump,
Reghan Worley placed 2
nd in the 3000m with her fastest mark this year, and
Garrett Kocab placed 3
rd in the Shot Put.
Beyond Baxstresser and Glaser, the Saints stacked up a slew of personal records on the day in the sprints, jumps, and throws. This included multiple athletes in the 60 m Dash: Brooklyn Schultz,
Joseph Ceccacci, and
Alexis Cooney. For other event areas personal records were as follows: Tim Sellars (Shot Put),
Sydney Miller (Long Jump), and
Makayla Goffena (60m Hurdles).
There were also a number of lifetime bests in the distance events.
James Normandeau missed the NAIA B Standard in the Mile by around one second. He ran a personal record for the event as did
Brycen Gardner. Five athletes set personal records in the 3000m:
Erika Arthur,
Nicole Morgen,
Sydney Lamb,
Zach Rector, and
Connor O'Hara.
Daniel Koralewski won his 3000m heat in an impressive debut.
"It was a really great meet for us overall as a team and fun to see the athletes compete against the rest of the Frontier Conference," said Head Coach Harry Clark. "There were some big individual performances today that resulted in visible outcomes," he added. "We're also excited about the steps we took forward that might not be evident now but will pay off in the future."

Most Saints will transition to a training period before outdoor season with competitions starting in late March. Eight athletes will travel to Brookings, S.D. for the NAIA Indoor National Championships on March 2-4. The qualifiers are as follows:

Paige Baxstresser (400m),
Garrett Kocab (Shot Put),
Tate Kauffman (Triple Jump),
Josh Smalley (Pole Vault),
Brett Glaser (Heptathlon), and
