Fargo, ND – The Victory Sports Network has released its 2023 NAIA Football All-American Team and individual awards for the season. Carroll College Offensive Lineman Hunter Mecham has been named a Third Team All-American Selection.

Hunter Mecham is a six-foot four-inch redshirt-senior from Las Vegas, Nev.

Fresh off of a Second Team NAIA AFCA All-American selection, Mecham again has been honored for his body of work in the 2023 season.

Mecham started 38 games in his Carroll career, and has compiled an impressive catalouge of individual accolades over his five seasons on the hilltop.

About the selections: The VSN NAIA Football team is compiled by Jason Dannelly of the Victory Sports Network. Nominations are automatically taken from each All-Conference team in the NAIA. Input on the selections comes from coaches, SIDs and media members around the NAIA. The final selections are made by Dannelly.
 
Positions: The majority of the positions on the list are self-explanatory. VSN selects an Athlete (ATH) position based on an individual's attributes to the overall team's success. Athlete selections are a combination of individual statistics from passing, rushing, returns and special teams play. Return Specialist (RS) is selected from a combination of kick and punt returners.
 
History: The Victory Sports Network was founded in 2002 by Jason Dannelly to become a promoter of NAIA Collegiate athletics. Through the years Dannelly has built very strong relationships with the NAIA member institutions and coaches. Dannelly has published the only magazine dedicated to NAIA athletics, founded three major sports web sites, and produces weekly features on latest news of the NAIA. VSN has produced annual NAIA football teams since its inception. Dannelly is also the coordinator for the Rimington Award, the annual reward given to the best FCS, DII, DIII and NAIA level centers in conjunction with the Rimington Trophy.
