HIGH SCHOOL
Mecham was a second team all-conference tackle as a senior at Green Valley. Hunter also finished third in the Nevada state championships in 50-meter freestyle swimming. Off the field, he was a member of the honor roll at Green Valley.

Mecham is the son of Jen and Mark Mecham and has one brother (Jake). He plans to pursue a degree in anthrozoology.
