HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Men's Soccer team earned yet another hard fought CCC win on Friday, beating Eastern Oregon 3-1 at Nelson Stadium.
The Fighting Saints (5-2-2, 5-1-1) continued their terrific start to the 2023 CCC slate, picking up a win over Eastern Oregon (2-6-3, 2-4-1).
In the 31st minute,
Felix Billard (Mallorco, Spain / FR) netted his first goal of the season to give Carroll a 1-0 lead heading into the break.
Eastern Oregon would tie things up at 1-1 in the 57th minute. Davis Magee managed to beat Juan Muniz Navarette (Hermiston, Ore. / SO), something that hasn't happened often this year.
Just five minutes later, however,
Enrico Paparelli (Sao Paulo, Brazil / FR) would put away his fourth goal of the season off of a beautiful cross from
Luke Rosenberger (Eau Claire, Wisc. / SR) to regain the one goal advantage, 2-1.
In the 69th minute,
Sam Loughton (Hull, England / FR) would provide an insurance goal with his first of the year to give Carroll the 3-1 lead that they would not relinquish.
Up next is a quick turnaround for a mammoth contest at 2 p.m. tomorrow with College of Idaho who is currently the only team ahead of the Saints in the CCC standings.
