HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Soccer teams will each host Southern Oregon this afternoon at Nelson Stadium in what will be the final two home games on the 2023 slate. The Men will kick things off at 2 p.m., with the Women following at 4 p.m.

Today's games will be the final two soccer games that Nelson Stadium's natural grass turf will see, with the Nelson Stadium enhancement project underway and artificial turf being installed in the spring.

The Carroll Men (6-2-3, 6-1-2) sit near the top of the table, and will have their shot at the team directly above them in the CCC standings in SOU (11-2, 7-1).

Saturday's game will be a homecoming of sorts for head coach Austin Shick, who spent last season as an assistant for the Raiders.

The Saints are closing in on securing their spot in the CCC postseason tournament, and will look to secure crucial points this afternoon.

Seniors Caleb Hoxie (Helena, Mont.), Luke Rosenberger (Eau Claire, Wisc.), David Macy (Vincenza, Italy), Dagim Degaro (Jimma, Ethiopa), Ryan Quinn (Helena, Mont.), Matthew Wigton (Annapolis, Md.), and Ryan Croft (Jacksonville, Fla.) will be recognized for their contributions to the program after their final home game this afternoon.

On the Women's side of the action, the Saints (9-1-2, 6-1-1) have the opportunity to distance themselves from the rest of the pack as they continue their pursuit of locking up a top seed in the CCC postseason. Southern Oregon (6-4-3, 3-1-3) enters the late afternoon game currently sitting at No. 5 in the CCC standings.

Look for the Saints to attack an SOU side that has been out-shot by their opponents on the season.

Three seniors, Emily Funseth (Great Falls, Mont.), Natalie Brown (Pasadena, Calif.), and Zoie Koci (Boise, Idaho) will all be recognized prior to the game for their outstanding careers and tremendous impact on the Women's Soccer program.
